Jacqueline needs to talk to her sister, Clara. As Jacqueline struggles to open up, the women happen upon a former classmate who evokes memories of playground crushes and cruelties.

Charly Evon Simpson (Playwright) is a playwright and performer. Her plays include or what she will, The Women in Me, Fish Out of Water, who we let in, and While We Wait. Her work has been present and/or developed at Ensemble Studio Theatre, HERE, The Brick, #serials at The Flea, Plays & Players Theatre, the 40th Annual Samuel French Off-Off Broadway Festival, and more. She is a member of the Obie Award-winning group Youngblood at Ensemble Studio Theatre as well as this year’s PlayGround PlayGroup with Fresh Ground Pepper. She received her BA from Brown University and her master’s in Women’s Studies from New College, University of Oxford. This Fall, she will begin studying with Annie Baker and Branden Jacobs-Jenkins in pursuit of her MFA in Playwriting at Hunter College. www.charlyevonsimpson.com
Megan Weaver (Director) is a director specializing in devised, multimedia, and site-specific theater. She facilitates rigorously physical collaborations with cross-disciplinary ensembles, integrating digital media, mask, puppetry, live music and unconventional spaces to create new works. She is a recipient of the Northern Trust/Virginia Piper Enrichment Award, and her works have been recognized by the AriZoni Theatre Awards, New York Innovative Theater Awards, KCACTF Meritorious Achievement Awards and the Connecticut Council on Culture and Tourism. Megan is an alum of the O’Neill Theater Center’s National Theater Institute, and has trained with The Wooster Group, SITI Company, Sojourn Theatre and Balerung Dance. She has served as Artistic Director of Performance at Mystic Seaport, and is the Founding Executive Artistic Director of FullStop Collective, a New York theater collaborative currently in its eighth season. She holds a BA in Theatre with a Literature minor from George Fox University and an MFA in Directing from Arizona State University.
